Online Public Access Catalogue (Web OPAC)

The ICL recently purchased LibSys Library Management Software. The LibSys Web OPAC to provides first hand information about the availability and location of the books, journals and other documents in the library. It provides access to the resources within campus through networked computer terminals and allows searching the entire resources online, conveniently and quickly, using one or more search criteria e.g. Author, Title, Publisher, Subject, Keyword, Accession Number.  It also shows the current status of a book, whether it is reserved, loaned out or available on the shelf etc. Library is developing databases of Books, Back Volumes, Current Journals, Articles, Thesis/ Dissertations (Abstract & Full Text), Newspaper Clippings and University Repository etc., to provide all these  library resources online.
