Science Direct Database
This is a publisher website. Back files for Applied Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and Aerospace, Electronics, Mechanical, Materials and Computer Engineering are available. Total 39 titles are subscribed annually. Link to each title is given in the Current list
J-Gate
We also provide the facility to search the articles published in more than 250 journals that are subscribed in IC&L. The facility is known as J-Gate. This database can be searched by title, author, keyword, subject journal. The following are the salient features of J-Gate:
· My TOC allows users to customized their search
· Author e-mail ID is provided to get the full-text via e-mail.
· Browsing of TOC
· There are about 2500+ open access journals.
· Allows search to be restricted to Journals subscribed by DIAT.
J-Gate Custom Content for Consortium (JCCC) :The J-Gate Custom Content for Consortium (JCCC) is a virtual library of journal literature created as customized e-journals access gateway and database solution for the INDEST consortium. It acts as one-point access to 4,000+ subscribed currently by all the IITs and IISc and available online. The service offers the following facilities and benefits to users.
Table of Contents Browsing: Users can select journals of their choice by searching by journal title words and/or subject categories and browse the table of contents for the latest is sues of the journals.
Database Searching: JCCC@INDEST acts a comprehensive database of journal articles published in the journals subscribed by DIAT (DU). The articles are indexed with subject keywords and are searchable by – Author, Title words, abstract words, subject keywords, Institutional name or city to which the author belongs to.
MyTOC: Users can select journals of their choice and create their own alert profiles. JCCC@INDEST sends e-mail notice to the users, every week and as and when their favorite journals are published, to facilitate browsing TOC of the latest issues.
Full-text Online: J-Gate provides link to full-text for online journals of the publishers for which the INDEST consortium has obtained online rights for accessing or the individual library has separately obtained online access rights for journals.
Resource Sharing: This is the unique benefit of JCCC@INDEST. When a user finds an article of his/her interest, he/she can get it online if the INDEST consortium or his library has online rights of access to the corresponding journal. This facility offers the following benefits:
If the journal is not subscribed by user’s library (say DIAT (DU) and is subscribe by another library (say IIT, Mumbai), an automated photocopy request goes to the library where the journal is available which is designated for supplying the article to the user. In this case, IIT, Mumbai sends a copy of the article to DIAT (DU), Pune.
DELNET Databases
IC&L also has agreement with Developing Library Network(DELNET), New Delhi to make available the documents in its network libraries, if required by IC&L users. Delnet is a consortium of over 700 libraries from India and abroad. The documents (books, reports, journal articles) from these libraries may be made available either requesting directly to Delnet or through IC&L. For this purpose Delnet maintains the number of databases of the holdings of its member libraries. You may Search Delnet Databases to find the required document.
