Courses Conducted
The Department conducts short term courses on specialised topics,
viz., Finite Element Methods, CAD, Vibration, Heat Transfer
& CFD. The Department also conducts customized courses on
the research areas for other labs & Industries.
Research Facilities:
Cad/Cam Facilities
The CAD/CAM Center is equipped with latest hardware and
software for Solid Modelling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA),
Fluid flow Analysis & Computer Aided Manufacturing. For
Solid modelling, PRO-E, MDT, Inventor, and I-DEAS Master Series
are available. Finite Element Analysis is carried out extensively
in the CAD/CAM Center. ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, DYTRAN &
NISA are used for linear static & dynamic analysis, and
for nonlinear, large deformation analysis. FLUENT, CFD2000
& NISA are used for 3-D fluid flow analysis. LVDS, Light
Vehicle Dynamic Simulation software is used for studying ride
parameters. MASTERCAM - DESIGN, MILL, LATHE is used for CAM
activities.
