Continuing Education Programmes (CEPs)

The Naval Wing conducts need based courses for the Defence as well as Industry to appraise their engineers with emerging technologies and applications. These courses, called CEPs, are short (1-2 weeks) module courses to update and enhance knowledge base of personnel in the areas of Digital Communications, Signal Processing, Marine Engineering and Naval Weapons. If a programme is to be scheduled for a particular audience in above study areas, courses can be organized by the Naval Wing if informed in around four-six months in advance.

Areas of Research Work

The Naval Wing is involved in numerous research and project studies in relevant subject areas. Current projects include:

Software Defined Radio Modems
Spread Spectrum Communications
Weapon System Evaluation
Missile Controls & Telemetry Systems
Noise and Vibrations in Gear Boxes
IR Signatures of Gas Turbines
Shock Testing of Diesel Engines
Corrosion behaviour of Cu-Ni alloys in marine environment
Remote Setting of Sea Mines using Lasers
Design of Torpedos

Many project studies carried out under the aegis of the Naval Wing have received wide recognition at National & International fora such as the IEEE Students Chapter, IETE and AIAA, USA etc.
