(Brief Description / Abstract) :

Dr. Shaibal Banerjee obtained his  M.Sc. from the IIT Roorkee in 2001 and Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in 2007. His research area includes Energetic Materials, Organic Synthesis, nanomaterials. He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (D.U.), Pune in 2010 and was promoted as Associate Professor in 2019. Presently he is the head of the Department of Applied Chemistry. Before joining the DIAT, he worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Virginia Tech., USA, and City College of New York. He published several articles in SCI/SCIE/SCOPUS indexed Journals. Attended and presented conference papers at national and international conferences. Dr. Shaibal Banerjee also worked as a member of institutional committees and other administrative assignments.
