(Brief Description / Abstract) :

Dr. Chetan Jagdish Bhongale is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry, DIAT, Pune. Before joining DIAT, he was an Assistant Professor in the School of Energy Studies, University of Pune. Dr. Bhongale’s previous professional affiliations include Post-Doctoral Research at UNLV, Las Vegas, USA, University of Bayreuth, Germany, and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Japan. Dr. Chetan Jagdish Bhongale has been actively involved in multi-disciplinary research viz., organic and hybrid nanomaterials, organic solar cells, functional organic nanocrystals, mesoporous materials, self-assembly, biomimecity, and organic materials, etc. His key expertise is synthesizing and fabricating organic and hybrid nanomaterials and their applications in optoelectronics, including organic light-emitting devices and organic solar cells.  He has published high-impact research articles in peer-reviewed journals of international reputed. He is the recipient of the prestigious Humboldt Fellowship of Germany and Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS) Post-doctoral Research Fellowship of Japan. Also, he has authored a book on “Organic Nanoparticles and Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Nanocomposites.”  He has been working on various projects sponsored by DST-SERB, DIAT-DRDO, Humboldt Foundation, Germany, etc.
